Ultrasonic Meters in Gas Measurement

Ultrasonic gas meters have been used successfully in diverse gas measurement applications for quite some time. Major benefits of the technology are high turndown ratios, bidirectional flow capability and comprehensive diagnostics. E.ON Ruhrgas has supported ultrasonic meter developments right from the beginning when they were introduced in gas measurement. The company performed comprehensive tests at its Lintorf and pigsarTM high pressure test and calibration facilities and has thus helped to vitally improve measurement reliability and fitness for use of the meters in cooperation with manufacturers.
