Quality aspects, technological and ecological consideration
Local reductions in wall thickness of high-pressure gas pipelines which are in operation often lead to problems in assessing of integrity, as no clear specifications exist within German regulations. The DVGW commissioned an investigation of the existing procedures dealing with this subject. The results of the investigation are presented. To fulfill ecological requirements especially methane slips has to be minimized within the injection process chain.
