Composite Repair Systems for Pipes and Pipelines in Operation

SUMMARY: The worldwide use of innovative testing procedures at oil and gas pipelines has significant effects on the rehabilitation and repair of pipelines. Especially the inspection of pipelines by means of intelligent pigging can detect very precisely irregularities in the pipe´s wall thickness or in its shape. New testing methods can analyse weak spots at a much earlier state as they were able to do in the past. The increasing demand of pipelines in need for rehabilitation and/or repair is calling for reliable and cost effective solutions.
