The demands on furnaces in aluminium melting shops are very high. Possible low energy consumption, possible high melting capacity at lowest emissions, these are the conditions which engineers have to take in account at design new furnaces and planning of rebuilds of existing furnaces. In the article the methods of energy saving and improvement of existing combustions systems especially by the applications of modular control system for regenerative burners are discussed.
