TANCY Instrument Group Co. Ltd. is the leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial custody transfer gas meters in China. The product portfolio includes rotary, turbine, ultrasonic, swirl/vortex and orifice gas meters for custody transfer metering. To further enhance the development and calibration capabilities of TANCY, the German based GasCon Consulting & Investment GmbH together with EEE Anlagenbau GmbH have developed a high pressure closed loop calibration test facility for commercial and industrial custody transfer gas meters for TANCY Instrument Group Co Ltd in Cangnan, China. This calibration test facility is the first high pressure loop installed, commissioned, and operated in China. The high pressure test facility has been designed to calibrate gas flowmeters according to and traceable to highest international standards. The test facility incorporates the experience derived from a number of international high pressure closed loop test facilities. The operational parameters are flow rates from 1 m³/h to 2500 m³/h and pressures from 4 bar (0,4 MPa) to 20 bar (2,0 MPa). The high pressure test loop is operated with pressurized, dried, and cleaned air. It is fully traceable to international standards in Europe and has been verified by the Dutch Metrology Institute VSL (Van Swinden Laboratories). VSL is governing the national standards of metrology for the Netherlands that are traceable to international standards. VSL has determined the measurement uncertainty of the TANCY high pressure test facility to be 0,17% to 0,30% for the flow rates of >10 m³/h to 2500m³/h and 0,30% to 0,42% for the flow rates from 1m³/h to 10 m³/h.
