The following article will describe an innovative furnace for the hot stamping process, Onstamp by GHI (patent-pending), where steel blanks are transported along the furnace by a combination of advancing beams and elevating beams. In this high-precision movement system, the blanks travel next to one another, maximizing floor space and ensuring high accuracy in the final position of parts. This new technology avoids the contamination problems inherent to traditional roller-hearth furnaces, minimizing maintenance needs, boosting production rates and reaching very high OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Up to eight blanks can be simultaneously extracted, centered and delivered to the press. The furnace is continuously supervised through Industry 4.0 analytics solutions to ensure the best real-time performance.
