Efficient combustion systems for aluminium industry

The demands on furnaces in aluminium melting shops are very high. Possible low energy consumption, possible high melting capacity at lowest emissions; these are the conditions which engineers have to take in account at design of new furnaces and planning of rebuilds of existing furnaces. In the article some methods of energy savings and improvement of existing combustion systems especially by the application of regenerative burner systems are discussed.
