Inductive hardening of ring gears and pinions

Because of the expanding demand for energy, time and cost savings, and in terms of environmentally conscious manufacturing processes, SDF® (Simultaneous Dual Frequency) induction heating process for close contour hardening of ring gears and pinions is presented. With this low-distortion hardening process, subsequent hard machining steps such as straightening, grinding or lapping can be reduced or completely eliminated. This results in large savings of energy and especially time and costs.
