International standards for electroheating – 80 years IEC TC 27
IEC TC 27 – electroheating and electromagnetic processing of materials – has been established 80 years ago, while its first standards were published 50 years ago. This technical committee (TC) is just now undergoing major changes reacting to such factors as continuous evolution of the role of standardization, changes in the structure of its members, new aspects in European legislation and creation of its young and successful sister committee ISO TC 244. This report informs about impulses for change and actual tasks, being a call for active participation at the same time.
