Laser measurement technology in the field of open-die forging
LaCam® Forge is a measuring system for open-die forging and supports effective forging, the avoidance of production errors and can generally be used for quality assurance and documentation. The system consists of a measuring computer, several laser sensors and specially developed software. LaCam® Forge is deeply integrated into the forging system via fast interfaces to the press and manipulators. LaCam® Forge observes upsetting and stretching processes and allows the final geometry to be checked in the hot state. The FEM interface enables forging simulations based on measured production data.
