CFD is increasingly used in academics but also in industry to model flow, heat and mass transfer problems. A lack of reliability and long computing times are still seen as the largest drawback of this method. This article should demonstrate, how to obtain fast solutions for combustion phenomena of flameless oxidation by choosing appropriate boundary conditions. The goal are computing times of only a few minutes to allow for extensive verification of results for many parameter variations.
